School started again and now I wish I had put more effort into finding my focus to write during the Summer season. It turns out that my Minor (Arab Culture & Language) is rather time consuming; I love this, because I love learning, but it leaves me ample time to do anything else.
Last month I put a new feature on the site which would help me actually write something, anything, creative on a weekly basis. Unfortunately so far I have only written one ‘Sundae’. This is why I asked my friends to give me prompts with a main character, a location and an activity. They did not disappoint. Now ‘all’ I have to do is actually write the shorts to go with these prompts. I gave them my word on which weeks to expect the results though, and being the autistic person that I am, I cannot break such a promise.
Seeing as I will be covered in learning until mid January, I’m afraid the set #deadline for #Pakishanishlover on #31january is not going to be met. We keep our hopes up though, any writing towards the project is that: writing.
Last week, my Pakispanish Lover and I celebrated our first anniversary (which in itself could be worthy of a book; so many feelings of disappointment, hurt and misunderstanding underneath our love), and I hope it was the first of many to come – granted that those following will be less ridden with tears and frustration. I’m learning to understand the man more every day I spend with him though (which sadly are not that many), so there is a future thinkable in which we look back, holding hands in our wooden rocking chair, laughing at the fools we were today.
What is not unthinkable either is a #Pakispanishlover2 novel.
Let’s finish part 1 first though before plotting the sequel…
